For many years Margaret Armstrong and her husband Bill have farmed at Heddon Laws. Margaret has bred from a quality band of brood mares, preparing them for eventing and racing, usually selling them at the bloodstock sales at the age of three or four.

Meanwhile her daughter Anne and son in law, Kevin Robson. have been making a name for themselves educating young horses and taking problem horses to re school. They have also had there own Point to Point and hunting yard for many years.

Now these people have come together at Heddon Laws to offer a great service in horsemanship.

We have a small but experienced staff - making sure your horse gets individual attention and personal service. At any one time we may have brood mares to board, youngstock to grow and educate, horses to hire for hunting and - our greatest pleasure horses to Point to Point.
There is usually an opportunity to join 'Heddon for Fun' Point to Point syndicate organised by Anne and Margaret - with the horses carefully prepared by Kevin.

How to find us

We are situated approximately 6 miles west of Newcastle upon Tyne and a few minutes drive south of the main A69 Newcastle to Hexham road.
